- Start this quest by talking to Dimintheis, who can be found in a hut in SE Varrock. He asks you to go speak to his son and try to get back his family's crest.

The First Son (Chef): He can be found in Catherby in the house N of the archery store. He will tell you that the crest was broken into 3 parts, and that each brother kept one part. He will give you his piece if you help him with his seafood salad. He asks you to get 5 different cooked fish (1 of each type) for him. The fish he needs are Shrimp (
),
Salmon (
),
Tuna (
),
Bass (
), and Swordfish (
).
You can either fish and cook these fish yourself (Minimum Required Stats:
Lvl 50 Fishing
stat; Lvl 45 Cooking
stat), or you can just buy them cooked from someone else. Give him these 5 cooked fish and he will give you his piece of the crest

He will also tell you that his brother told him that he was living in a desert
town. The Chef then says that his brother has expensive tastes and to
check with the
gem trader in Al Kharid. -
The Second Son (Crafter): Speak to the gem trader to find out that he has heard of a man who stands next to a gold rock in Scorpion Chasm. Go talk to this man, who will tell you that he must have a ruby ring and a ruby necklace made from the perfect gold before you can get his crest piece. He then tells you to go speak to a dwarf named Boots to discover where to find the perfect gold. Boots can be found in the Dwarven mine to the W of the anvils. He will tell you that the perfect gold can only be found in a certain dungeon to the E of Ardougne.

The Perfect Gold: Enter the dungeon. Now you have to make your way through a series of rooms that have levers to open the various doors. In the first room you enter, you will encounter lvl 48 hobgoblins (). Head to the room to the N. Pull down the lever on the N wall where you can see a lvl 58 Ogre (). Now enter the southern room through the W door and pull the lever in here down. Now leave through the E door and pull the lever in the northern room down, then pull the lever in the S room up. Now you must pull the north wall lever up. You now have access to a cage area that contains 3 gold rocks (perfect gold) and the lvl 114 hell hound (). Please note that you must have spoken to Boots in order to be able to mine these rocks.

Make the Jewelry: Get 2 cut rubies (
) (see
Crafting) and smelt the perfect gold into gold bars
(
).
Now craft the gold bars into a ring (
) and a necklace
(
), making sure to
include a cut ruby in each one. Give the Jewelry to the 2nd brother and
he will give you his crest piece (
). He will also tell you about the
3rd
son. -
The 3rd Son (Wizard): He can be found in the Jolly Boar Inn (NE of Varrock). He says that he has been poisoned by some spiders. Cure him by bringing him a Cure Poison potion (
). After you give him the potion, he will tell you where
the last piece of the crest is, and how to defeat the lvl 121 demon that holds
the piece. -
Chronozon the Demon: Make sure that you have 4 Death runes (
),
5 Fire runes (
),
3 Water Runes (
),
4 Earth Runes (
),
and 13 Air runes (
).
The only way to defeat Chronozon is to cast all 4 non-member blast spells on
him. These spells are lvl 41
Wind Blast, lvl 47
Water Blast, lvl 53
Earth Blast, and lvl 59
Fire Blast. Now
head into the Edgeville Dungeon. Head to the N and enter the wilderness
dungeon. Continue N on past the lvl 19 Chaos Druids (),
then W past the lvl 54 Skeletons (). Head S
when you reach the lvl 156 Black Demons (), and
continue on past the lvl 63 Poison Spiders (). Now you will see
lvl 121 Chronozon () standing
near the Earth Obelisk. Cast the spells on him and he will be
weakened. Note that until all four spells have been cast on him, he will
just keep resetting his HP to full whenever he runs out. Now just kill
him like any other monster. When
he dies, he will drop the 3rd and final piece of the crest (
). Pick it
up and leave the dungeon. -
Get the Reward: Put all 3 Pieces of the crest back together to create the Family Crest (
). Now return the crest to Dimintheis. - Reward: 1 Quest Point; Steel
