- Start this quest by talking to Edmond, who can be found N of the Palace in W Ardougne. He will tell you about his daughter Elena who ventured out into W Ardougne. He asks you to find her for him.

Gasmask (

Get dwellberries (
)
for the mask. Dwellberries can be found in McGrubor's Forest. Give
the dwellberries to Alrena when you have them. She will give you a gas
mask in return. -
Enter Plague City: You will need a spade (
),
at least 4 buckets of water (.gif)
),
and a picture of Elena (
)
from her parents house. Pour the four buckets of water onto the dug up
soil. Now dig the soil and you will have access to the sewers that run
under plague city. The only problem is that entry is prevented by an
iron grille. Get some rope (
),
tie it to the grille, then have Edmond help you pull the grate down.
Now you can enter and leave West Ardougne at your will. -
Find Elena: As soon as you exit the sewers, you will see a man called Jethick. He asks you to return a book to the Rehnisons for him. They live in the north portion of W Ardougne. Try to open the door, and the Rehnisons will let you in. Go upstairs and talk to Milli Rehnison because she saw what happened to Elena. She tells you that Elena was imprisoned in a mossy building in the SE corner of W Ardougne. Try and get into the building, but a mourner will stop you. Say that there is a kidnapping victim inside, then say that you still want to check. The mourner says to get clearance to enter, you must apply to either the Head Mourner or to Bravek. Go see Bravek. To meet him, tell his secretary that it is urgent. He will see you, but he says he can't speak with you until you go make him a hangover cure. He hands you a scruffy note (
)
that has the ingredients listed on it. -
Make the Cure (
):
To make the hangover cure, you must first have a bucket of milk (
).
Now grind up some chocolate (
)
with a mortar and pestle (
)
and add the ground chocolate (
)
to the milk to make chocolaty milk (
).
Now add some snape grass (
)
(obtained by killing lvl 39 tribesmen (.gif)
)) to the
concoction to finish the
mixture. -
Finish the Rescue: Go back to Bravek and give him the hangover cure. In return, he will give you a warrant (
)
if you tell him that the mourners won't listen to you. Go back to the
building that Elena is being held in. This time, when you try to enter
the warrant distracts the Mourner guard and you are able to slip into the
house. Go downstairs to find Elena trapped in a jail cell.
Search the barrel next to the stairs to find the little key (
),
which will open the gate of the cell. Now you are almost finished. -
Get the Reward: Talk to Edmond after freeing Elena.
