  • Hints to complete the quest must be highlighted to be seen!
  • Minimum Required Stats: Lvl 10 Fishing stat
  • Start this quest by talking to the Mountain Dwarf found near the stairs that are to the W of the Druid's Circle (see Map).  You need to bring a spade (Spade), a regular fishing rod (Regular Fishing Rod), and some garlic (Garlic).  Ask the dwarf why you can't go down the stairs, then select the bit about friendship, ask to be his friend, then talk about the fishing competition in Hemenster.
  • Getting the Competition Pass (Fishing Competition Pass): Tell the dwarf that you are a decent fisherman and he will give this to you and ask you to go get the trophy.

  • The Perfect Bait: Head towards McGrubor's Woods.  Note that there are a few lvl 46 Guard Dogs (Lvl 46 Guard Dog) in the woods.  Find some red vines (Red Vines), and use the spade with the vines to get a red worm (25 Red Worms). You need to have 20 red worms to have a chance to win the contest.

  • Get the Trophy: Head towards Hemenster and enter the contest (costs 5gp and a Fishing Competition Pass).  Go to the fishing spot (Fishing Spot) next to the pipes (Fishing Competition Pipes).  You are told that this spot is already taken.  Use the garlic on the pipes, then take control of the fishing spot.  Start fishing and you will catch the biggest fish (Giant Carp).  This will win you the trophy (Hemenster Fishing Trophy).

  • Get The Reward: Take the trophy back to the mountain dwarf.
  • Reward: 1 Quest Point; ???? Fishing exp; Access to a shortcut under White Wolf Mountain
