- Start this quest by speaking to the Observatory professor, who can be found SW of the battlefield. He explains that he has been having trouble with some goblins, who broke his telescope. He wants you to help him repair it. He also tells you to talk to his assistant if you are having trouble finding an item.

Planks (
):
The professor requires 3 planks to repair his tripod. Planks can be
found in the wilderness and at the Barbarian Outpost. Find the planks
and bring them to him. -
Bronze Bar (
):
This is needed to make a new tube for the telescope.
You can either
Smith the bar, or buy it from somewhere. Get
the bar and bring it to the professor. -
Glass Lens (): First you must obtain some molten glass (
)
(see
Crafting). Now talk to the professor and he
will say that the lens can't be made without the lens mold (), which has been stolen and hidden by
the goblins. Enter the tunnel system that leads to the observatory and
search the chests to find the Keep key ().
Be warned that some of the chests contain lvl 22 dungeon spiders ().
Once you find the key, go back and kill the lvl 48 goblin guard ().
Now use the key with the gate that he was guarding. Search the sacks to
find the lens mold. Speak with the professor again and he will ask you
to craft the new lens because he isn't any good at crafting. Use the
molten glass with the lens mold to create the lens. Now talk to him
again to give him the mold and the lens. -
Get the Reward: Now go back down into the tunnels. Find and go up the ladder that leads to the observatory. Look into the telescope.

in the Professor's house and you will be able to speak to the Spirit of
Scorpius. Speak to him and he will give you an Unholy Symbol Mold (
),
which is used to make Unholy Symbols of Zamorak (). He will also bless
these symbols () when asked. - Constellation Rewards: Depending on which constellation you see at the end, you can also earn an additional reward. The rewards are:
