- Start this quest by speaking to Elena in her house located E of her parents house. She asks you to go get her distillator, which the mourners took from her, if she is to find a cure for the plague. She tells you that the mourners have discovered and filled the tunnel you used in the Plague City quest with dirt. She tells you to go see Jerico in hopes of finding another way into Plague City.

Find Jerico: He isn't very hard to find, just look in the building N of the chapel. He will tell you that he has two friends who will put a rope ladder over the wall so that you can enter plague city. While you are here, grab a cage of messenger pigeons (
)
and a sack of birdseed (
). -
Over the Wall: Go meet Omart, who says that he has a rope ladder, but that you must talk to Jerico about how to distract the guards in the guard tower so that you can go over the wall. Jerico doesn't have any ideas, so he sends you back to Omart. Go use the birdseed with the watch tower, then release the pigeons. They will distract the guards in the tower. Now go talk to Omart, and he and his partner (Kilron) will get the rope ladder set up. Time to go in.

Find the Distillator (

Head to the N, picking up some rotten apples (
)
when you get there. Now tell the mourner to have a good meal.
Place the rotten apples into the cooking pot in the back of the mourners'
quarters. Now go talk to the mourner guarding the entrance
again. He says that all of the mourners feel sick. He orders you
to go get a doctor from the nurse's quarters to the SW. Search the
cupboards in the room to find a doctor's gown (
).
Put it on and go back to the mourner. He lets you into the
building. Go upstairs and kill the lvl 22 mourner (). He will
drop a bronze key (
).
Use it on the gate, then grab the distillator from one of the crates. -
Find a Cure: Get the distillator back to Elena. Talk with Kilron to get back over the wall. Once you give the distillator to Elena, she will give you three vials filled with different items: liquid honey (
),
Ethenea (
),
and Sulfuric Broline (
).
She will also give you a sample of the plague (
),
placed into a sealed container. Once she gives you these, you must not
teleport or fight anyone or anything. Doing so will break the
vials. Now head towards Rimmington to visit the chemist there.
Obtain some touch paper (
)
by only selecting the second option in each set when talking to the
chemist. He suggests letting his errand boys outside take your vials
into Varrock for you. Give DaVinci the ethenea, Hops the sulfuric
Broline, and Chancy the liquid honey. Now walk to Varrock and meet the
errand boys in the Dancing Donkey Inn. Now put on some priest robes (.gif)

(can buy from Tailor's shop) and talk to Guidor. Ask him to help cure
the plague, then he will test the sample. Nothing happens! He
tells you that this means that there is no plague at all. Go back and
tell Elena. She tells you to go speak with the King of East Ardougne
(King Lanthas). He will tell you that he invented the ruse of the
plague to prevent his brother, King Tyras, who was corrupted by the dark
lord, from returning to Ardougne. He thanks you for helping and says
he will call on you in the future. -
Get the Reward: Talk to King Lanthas.
