If you plan to prospect a rock to discover what ores lie inside, you must be able to mine the ore to identify it. This only applies to soft rocks. These rocks are colored like the one in the picture above. Hard rocks are the colors that are shown below in the table.

Rock Types: Now there is only one type of rock:

All rocks now display color when they contain ores. However, these rocks also act like soft rocks in the manner that there is a chance that you will not get ore when you mine the rock (it's not 1 hit = ore any more). All gray rocks contain no ore. All rocks that do contain ore but have had the ore mined out of them will turn gray until the ore respawns in the rock. Note that mining ore out of a rock will cause your Fatigue % to increase.
