  • Woodcutting involves an axe (Steel Hatchet Axe) and a tree.  The better the type of metal the axe is made of, the more likely you are to actually hit the tree.  Have the axe in your inventory, then right click on the tree and select "chop tree" to get some wood.  At first, you will miss the tree a lot, but as your woodcutting lvl increases, so will your accuracy.
