- Picking Locks: Certain doors that lead to
certain areas can only be opened by picking their locks. The higher
your thieving lvl is, the more doors you can successfully open. Note
that some doors require a lockpick () [stolen from lvl 21 rouges ()] to open.

- Disarming Traps: Certain objects in the game
(chests, etc.) have traps on them. If they are not disarmed, you will receive
damage or some other penalty for not disarming the trap. The higher
your thieving lvl, the greater you chance of successfully disarming the
trap. The traps will eventually reset themselves. A few traps
will require a lockpick to open/disable.

Walk up to a stall and choose to steal from it (can only be done in
Ardougne). Make sure that no game characters are looking at you when
you are attempting to steal.
